Storage Millwall Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement is made by Storage Millwall in recognition of our responsibility to prevent modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation within our operations and supply chains. Storage Millwall is committed to conducting business ethically, transparently, and in full compliance with all applicable laws on modern slavery and human rights.
Our Organisation and Supply Chain
Storage Millwall operates storage and related services and works with a range of suppliers who provide goods, services, equipment, maintenance, and facilities support. Our supply chain includes manufacturers, service providers, and contractors. We recognise that certain sectors and geographies may pose higher risks and we tailor our due diligence and oversight accordingly.
Zero-Tolerance Approach to Modern Slavery
Storage Millwall has a clear zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery and human trafficking. We will not knowingly engage with any organisation that is involved in or benefits from such practices. Any suspected instance of modern slavery connected to our business is treated as a serious breach of our values and standards. Where concerns are substantiated, Storage Millwall will take decisive action, which may include terminating relationships with suppliers or contractors and reporting issues to the appropriate authorities.
Policies and Governance
We are integrating our anti-slavery approach into our core policies, including our code of conduct, procurement practices, and risk management procedures. Senior management is responsible for overseeing our efforts to prevent modern slavery and for ensuring that our practices are aligned with legal requirements and best practice. Managers are expected to promote a culture where ethical conduct and respect for human rights are central to all decision-making.
Supplier Due Diligence and Audits
Storage Millwall is committed to working with suppliers that share our values and demonstrate robust labour and human rights standards. As part of our supplier due diligence, we may request information on labour practices, recruitment procedures, working conditions, and use of subcontractors. We reserve the right to conduct supplier audits, either directly or via trusted third parties, to verify compliance with our expectations. These audits may include site visits, worker interviews, and document reviews. Where gaps or issues are identified, we will work with suppliers on corrective action plans, set clear timelines, and monitor progress. If suppliers fail to address serious concerns, we will consider suspending or ending the business relationship.
Training and Awareness
Storage Millwall is working to build awareness of modern slavery risks among employees who are involved in procurement, supplier management, and site operations. Training and guidance focus on recognising indicators of exploitation, understanding our policies, and knowing how to escalate concerns. We also encourage our staff to consider modern slavery risks when selecting suppliers or contractors and when visiting supplier sites.
Reporting Concerns and Speaking Up
Storage Millwall encourages employees, contractors, suppliers, and any other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking connected to our operations or supply chains. Concerns may relate to working conditions, recruitment fees, retention of identity documents, restricted movement, or any form of coercion or exploitation. Individuals are encouraged to raise issues through internal reporting channels or directly to management. Reports will be handled sensitively, investigated promptly where appropriate, and treated without retaliation against those who raise concerns in good faith.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
Storage Millwall recognises that combating modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility. We are committed to reviewing and improving our approach as risks and best practices evolve. This Modern Slavery Statement and our related procedures will be reviewed at least annually by senior management. The review will consider any incidents, audit findings, supplier feedback, legal developments, and emerging guidance. Where necessary, we will update our policies, strengthen controls, and provide further training. By maintaining regular oversight and continuous improvement, Storage Millwall aims to reduce the risk of modern slavery within our business and contribute positively to the protection of human rights.
This statement has been approved by the management of Storage Millwall and will be updated annually.
